Confirmation that a Candyland movie is in fact in progress and will be an epic war story except colourful and tasty kicked my butt back into working on my webcomic (I think I got bored for a bit because some of my drawings weren't great and I didn't feel like inking shitty art). I've been drawing more pages at work the last few days and I'm going to colour tomorrow's page when I get home from work tonight. A few more pages (maybe I'll start going twice a week now that I'm on summer vacation) and I'll have the plot properly introduced, and then after that I should try to figure out how to advertise it a bit better.

So much for being a stop motion wizard! There was NO magic today. I was on set for four hours and only got about thirty good seconds of animation. My set keeps falling apart, my puppet is terrible, she can't stand up under her own weight- how do I animate a dance with a puppet who can't stand on one leg without falling over?!- my flying rig is a pain in the ass to use. I came in on my day off to animate but it looks like if I want anything of use for my final I'm going to need to take tomorrow off work to try again and hope the magic is on this time. Maybe if I replace both her legs. The problem seems to be weak hips, or ankles, or both. I did make her limbs replaceable. Arg, why do I have to be scheduled to work so much during finals? This is so frustrating!

oh, Korra. you know I thought from the last series that the Avatar creators didn't like ship wars, that they thought it was dumb, but if that was so, how are there so damn many right in the first five episodes? I'm not saying I don't love all these delicious love triangles but that is INSANE. And while I'm on the subject of Korra, I can't help but feel like I'm not entirely AGAINST the equalists. I mean, right in the first episode Korra's argument against anti-benders is "but bending is the coolest thing ever!" and I thought "yeah. IF you're a BENDER." Now imagine you aren't. Imagine all the jobs you don't get, all the girls you don't impress. I'd probably be pretty pissed, too.
...I guess that means I'd be for mutant registration in the X-Men. Well come on, if someone has the ability to blow up the bank or walk into a girl's locker room invisibly or through the wall, wouldn't you want to know who can do that and maybe keep that shit on file? Hogwartz kept their animages on file and when they didn't find them all, what happened? Peter Pettigrew happened. Now imagine that times a billion.

whats that... you know, that gel you put in jars, and its clear so you can put things in suspended animation? like this? I used to make these all the time as a kid but I don't remember what it is. I wanted to make some fairy bottles. and heart containers should be prominent in this wedding, but how would I make a heart container? I could maybe buy a nice chest and put it in there for display, so I also need to buy a chest but you can get those at like Michael's. I am finding I am not nearly crafty enough. what else should be at a Zelda wedding? How do I make a Poe, for the pet cemetary? whats a good way to make and display navis for the fairy garden? oh my god I know nothing about anything

How is it lately that everyone says they only post their fic at AO3, but when I try to register there are 50,000 people in line in front of me? How does ANYONE have an account? Is it actually a super elite special club I'm not cool enough to get into? I've been in the queue since, like, January. Are they only allowed like 100 members at a time and we're waiting for some to quit, or what? And if I got in.... is it bad form to just re-post all the fic I have on ff.net?

Today I have done two crazy things. I have started playing WoW again and I have pierced my belly button.

I had a meeting with the head of the 2D department today and she said that this quarter, my midpoint was the best of all 2D midpoints. and there were a lot of midpoints this quarter.
I AM SO FULL OF SQUEE. First I'm a "natural" at stop motion, and now this. I am vibrating with excitement! Turns out I AM GOOD AT WHAT I DO!

By now Deviantart memebers should know they pull a prank every year on April 1st. Its only one day, chill and stop taking shit personally. I find this year's cat prank HILARIOUS. its my favorite April Fools Day joke this year.

every once in a while I seem to get on this anthro bug THING. This isn't the last of it. The theme "dark" is going to be similar, and I even have a whole short comic planned. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED everything else I was going to draw has been blown away by this bizarre compulsion.

I called my mom a few days ago and she mentioned the Dark Shadows trailer, Tim Burton's new version. She was very disappointed. She grew up watching Dark Shadows, probably same as Burton and Depp both, and from what she saw doesn't think Burton "gets" it. I never watched any of the show because when I was a kid and it came on, my mom told me it was too scary for little kids, and consequently the theme song scared me. Every time the theme started I ran out of the room. So I pretty much know nothing about it, but I did just see the trailer for the first time today.
I think I'm going to see it. Sorry, mom.
